Last night Julian Collender's family organized a candlelight vigil to mark the 6 month anniversary of his death across the street from the Orange County District Attorney's office in downtown Santa Ana, Ca. About 40 of Julian's friends and supporters attended, sending the DA a message of solidarity and that we demand justice and accountability for the unspeakable death of our friend, brother, and son.

Close to 8,000 signatures were collected on the petition found on justiceforjulian.com. The petition will stay open on the site - please sign if you haven't done so. Together we can help bring justice to Julian and offer peace of mind not just to his family, but to the citizens of this county, state, and country. NO ONE IS ABOVE THE LAW!

Candlelight vigil to be held Wednesday, December 22, 2010, 3:00 PM PST in front of the Orange County District Attorney’s office in Santa Ana for Julian Collender.

We invite you to join the family, friends and fellow supporters of our slain friend, brother, uncle, and son Julian Collender on December 22, 2010 at 3:00 pm in Santa Ana in front of the Orange County District Attorney’s office for a candlelight vigil.

Julian Collender was 25 years old when he was shot and killed by a Brea Police Officer with a high power assault rifle in front of his parents’ home in Yorba Linda, Ca. on June 30, 2010.  Julian was unarmed, had no prior record, and was alone at the time of the incident. The Brea Police Department and the OCDA’s office have released little information regarding the progress of the investigation.

Please attend this peaceful vigil with us. Julian was a son of Orange County – his memory cannot die in vain.

Bring Justice to Julian Collender - a plea to the public

On June 30, 2010, a man I was fortunate enough to have known for a short while was fatally shot and killed by the Brea Police Department in Orange County, CA. His name was Julian “Jules” Stanley Collender and he was 25 years old. I am writing to ask that you help me bring justice to Julian by signing the e-petition that can be found on http://justiceforjulian.com for a thorough, unbiased investigation in hopes that it will provide details of this tragic event.
